Description
A soft shell is the jacket you actually reach for most days, and finding one that fits above a 1X is harder than it should be. The Venus is our everyday plus size soft shell, cut from scratch for plus size proportions in sizes 1X to 6X.
The fabric is a three layer WPB 8K polyester bonded to micro fleece, so it holds warmth without the bulk of an insulated coat. It stretches, which means it moves when you reach instead of pulling across the back and shoulders. A DWR finish sheds light rain and the shell blocks wind on cold grey mornings.
Practical where it counts. The hood adjusts. The cuffs close with tabs over inner sleeve gaiters that keep drafts out at the wrist. Zippered pockets keep your phone and keys where you left them. It runs 35 inches from the back of the neck to the hem on a 3X, so it covers past the hip.
