The Axtell, for the coldest days
If your winter means January mornings, long waits at pickup and wind that finds every gap, this is the coat. The Axtell is our heavyweight plus size parka. Synthetic down insulation holds serious warmth without the bulk, and the plush fleece lining through the upper body is the first thing you feel when you put it on. The 300T polyester shell has a DWR finish that sheds rain, sleet and snow, a raised insulated collar closes out drafts at the neck, and the insulated hood carries a removable faux fur trim. A two way zipper opens from the bottom so you can sit and drive, ribbed snow cuffs seal the wrists, and it runs 37.5 inches from the back of the collar to the hem on a 3X, so it covers well past the hip.

The Siberian, for cold days on the move
A softshell on its own is not enough when it is genuinely cold, and a puffer is too much bulk when you are shoveling or walking the dog. The Siberian is the middle ground: heavy quilted insulation inside a waterproof rated 8K stretch softshell with a DWR finish, so it holds body heat and still moves when you reach and bend. A fleece bonded backing is soft against you, pit zips let you release heat on the move, and a tech snowskirt seals at the waist. Ninja cuffs with thumbholes lock out snow at the wrist, and there are pockets for everything, including a goggle pocket and an audio pocket. It runs 34 inches on a 4X.

The Tempest, for skiing and wet snow
Snow that melts on contact needs a real waterproof jacket, not just a coated one. The Tempest has a 10K waterproof breathable shell with critical taped seams, so wet snow stays on the outside at the fabric and at the stitching. Synthetic insulation keeps it very warm at a medium weight, underarm vents dump heat on the lift line or the sledding hill, and a tech snowskirt keeps powder out from underneath. Ninja cuffs sit under adjustable outer cuffs to close the gap around gloves, the insulated hood adjusts, and the armholes are cut generously so you can reach without the jacket pulling. It runs 36.25 inches on a 3X, and it is the first jacket we have ever made in Tall, with Green Lily in 1X to 4X Tall.

The Moonlight, for the matching ski set
The Moonlight is our color block ski jacket, and it is designed as half of a set: the colors are chosen to match our snow bibs, so you can put together a full plus size ski suit that fits instead of hunting for pieces that almost go together. Medium weight insulation keeps it warm on the lift and easy to move in on the way down, the insulated hood comes off, and the snowskirt keeps powder out. Not quite winter yet
If it is 40 degrees and raining, none of the jackets above is the answer.
