Description
Finding a snow jacket above a 1X that is actually warm, actually waterproof and actually cut for your body is harder than it should be. The Tempest is our plus size snow jacket, insulated for skiing, winter travel and every cold day in between, designed from scratch for plus size proportions in sizes 1X to 6X. It is also the first jacket we have ever made in Tall, with Green Lily available in 1X to 4X Tall.
A 10K waterproof breathable shell with a DWR finish and critical taped seams keeps wet snow on the outside. Inside, synthetic insulation holds the warmth without the weight of a heavy parka. Underarm zip vents let you release heat on the move, and a tech snowskirt seals at the waist so wind and snow stay out from underneath.
The details are built for real winter. The insulated hood adjusts to close down when the weather turns. Ninja cuffs with thumbholes sit under adjustable outer cuffs to close the gap around gloves or mittens. Generous cut armholes mean you can reach without the jacket pulling. It runs 36.25 inches from the back of the neck to the hem on a 3X, so it covers past the hip. Pair it with any of our snow bibs or snow pants for a full setup that fits.

Technical details
- 10K Waterproof Breathable Shell: A WPB TPU polyester rated to 10,000mm, so wet snow sits on the surface instead of soaking through to you.
- DWR Finish: A durable water repellent finish on the face fabric that makes water bead up and roll off.
- Critical Taped Seams: The seams that take the most weather are taped shut, which is where most jackets let water in first.
- Synthetic Insulation: Very warm with a medium weight feel, without the bulk of a heavy winter coat.
- Adjustable Insulated Hood: Cinches down for coverage when the weather turns.
- Zippered Hand Pockets: Keep essentials secure and hands out of the wind.
